Service Canada supports the employability of young Francophones in Ontario during the summer
Toronto, June 08, 2022 – Canadians Healthy Kitchen (HCC) is pleased to announce the financial support of the Government of Canada to ensure the salary of 4 young Francophones as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program. This funding of $38,718 will allow these young Francophones to participate in edifying and rewarding activities for a period of 16 weeks and to ensure them fair compensation,
From April 25 to September 3, 2002, CSC gives these young people the opportunity to develop their skills in cooking, customer service, culinary event planning, communication and digital marketing, as well as entrepreneurial skills.
The activities in which young people participate include the preparation and delivery of healthy meals in schools and the community, at summer camps, the animation of culinary workshops with partners, the production of culinary capsules as well as the design of content. digital.

Canadians Healthy Kitchen (HCC) is a non-profit Francophone community organization founded in 2012 by the Chef Guy Dongue and whose mission is to fight against junk food and its consequences on health, by promoting healthy eating and the consumption of fresh and tasty local products among Franco-Ontarians. Our activities include the animation of culinary workshops in person or online, specialized food education (advice for at-risk customers such as children, seniors, pregnant women, sick people and newcomers). CSC also ensures the training and integration of marginalized people, young dropouts and offers a professional health catering service (such as Kids Healthy Cooking, present in several schools in the Greater Toronto Area). The Canada Summer Jobs Program aims to support the creation of quality summer jobs for young people aged 15 to 30 by providing wage contributions to non-profit organizations and public and private sector employers with 50 or fewer full-time employees full.
